Fun fact about me: I answer every phone call. I figure if someone wants to cold call me, I’ll frustrate them and entertain myself in the process.
When I received a call from Hilton Grand Vacations offering a discounted rate at one of their properties, I gave them the runaround.
Kudos to the sales representative on the other end.
They broke through my tomfoolery and, in the end, I purchased a trip to The District, a Hilton Club in Washington, D.C.
It was a win-win. We had a quick getaway to D.C., and they were about to land their newest Members.
I’m very familiar with Washington, D.C., so we filled our itinerary with excursions to several of the Smithsonian museums, the National Zoo, the International Spy Museum and the Wharf, which was recommended to us by a Hilton Grand Vacations Team Member. As a passionate, semi-professional photographer, I had to stop by the Leica store for a chance to handle their cameras.
We came home from our D.C. trip as proud Members of Elara, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club in Las Vegas.
We spent last Easter visiting our home property. And just like The District, Elara didn’t disappoint.
Our family has been to Las Vegas several times. Still, we filled our itinerary with wonderful adventures — from the Las Vegas Strip to day trips to Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire State Park. We also shopped, enjoyed a Penn & Teller show from the second row and returned to a few familiar stops.
We quickly learned how to navigate Hilton Grand Vacations’ online booking system. Before we knew it, we were at the stunning Liberty Place Charleston, a Hilton Club in Charleston, South Carolina — another familiar city.
This time, our daughter took charge and curated a perfect itinerary. The food tour she booked for us was phenomenal.
Three vacations. Three amazing Hilton Grand Vacations properties. Three familiar cities.
Our membership is successful, yielding memories that will last our lives over.
