I recently visited Park City, Utah, for a ski trip to celebrate 15 years as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. My sorority sisters and I had an amazing time skiing, exploring the mountains and experiencing this beautiful city.

I am a true Florida girl and while I consider myself well-traveled, I had never seen snow. I intentionally plan my trips to avoid frigid weather. I wasn’t thrilled at the thought of going to Park City during the cold winter month of January, but I'm so glad that I did.

Park City is a bustling city nestled in the Rocky Mountains. The city blends outdoor adventure and urban sophistication. Visitors can explore the stunning natural beauty of the nearby mountains, including hiking, skiing and mountain biking.

With several ski resorts within a short drive, there are endless options for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. What sets Park City apart from other ski destinations is the snow. The surrounding mountain ranges receive over 500 inches of snowfall per year, so the powder is legendary.

I was lucky enough to experience snowfall during our time there. For tubing and skiing, we visited Woodward Park City, a year-round outdoor sports destination for all ages. Woodward offered flexible packages to build our own adventure. When we weren't outdoors, there was an awesome indoor hub with lots of food and drink options.

My favorite outdoor activity was snowmobiling. We took a ride to Oakley, Utah, for a two-hour guided tour with Park City Peaks Snowmobiling. The Park City Peaks team did an amazing job with our party of 12 first-time riders and took us on the ride of a lifetime. The views from the top of the mountain can’t be fully described in words or captured by picture.

In addition to skiing, Park City also has a vibrant restaurant scene. My favorite dining spot was the High West Distillery. The distillery sits at the top of a mountain, overlooking the interstate, and the brunch was delectable. There was even Wi-Fi available so we could watch the Miami Dolphins take on the Buffalo Bills.

Overall, my trip to Park City was an incredible experience. The outdoor activities were top-notch, the food was delicious and the city had a unique charm all its own.

Sunrise Lodge, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club in Park City offers amazing accommodations for a cozy night in after a day outdoors and conveniently located near Main Street and Utah Olympic Park. I highly recommend Sunrise Lodge to anyone looking for a ski destination with a little something extra.
