We’re Trying New Travel Experiences Thanks To Our HGV Max Membership

Members explain how they used their points to book cruises

Through our HGV Max membership, we now have an additional benefit called “Travel Services” that allows us to book cruises using our HGV ClubPoints, Bonus Points and more.

Since this incredible new perk’s inception, we’ve booked three cruises. Our first was an HGV Ultimate Access* cruise aboard the Norwegian Escape. The whole experience was seamless, and the cruise included exciting features like an HGV-hosted cocktail party, an unlimited beverage package, two on-board specialty dining restaurants, 150 minutes of internet and a $50 excursion credit per port.

One important thing to note is that once your cruise is booked, any used points become nonrefundable. So be sure you’re ready for an aquatic adventure when planning your trip.

Our next cruise is set for September 2024; we paid 25,896 points for a $5,179 cruise, plus $787 for taxes, gratuities and port fees. We invited our cousins to join us for this journey and they were able to use 1,920 of our points to pay for $768 worth of the cruise. What a deal!

By booking this cruise through Travel Services, we were offered insurance that would recover our points and cash paid for the cruise if canceled due to the covered reasons. If we would’ve booked cancellation insurance through the cruise line, we’d have only been reimbursed the cash portion. This HGV Max membership benefit is just one of the many reasons why traveling with Hilton Grand Vacations is worth it.

While we’re looking forward to our upcoming conventional cruises, we’re definitely going to check out expedition cruises, too. The more ways to sail around the world, the better.
