In a recent blog, I wrote about the great opportunities that come with Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV) membership and access to private aviation. Now it’s time to get into the details and offer a few destinations that can take your next getaway to new heights. I’ve flown to many HGV properties over the last 25 years. Some stand out for how easy they make arrival and departure. For non-pilots, I’ll reference the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) — the facility where you refuel, park and secure your aircraft.

Myrtle Beach HGV Resorts Near Private Airports
Myrtle Beach is home to three HGV properties: Ocean 22, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club, Ocean Enclave, A Hilton Grand Vacations Club and Hilton Grand Vacations Club Anderson Ocean Myrtle Beach. All sit within a mile of each other and within seven miles of Myrtle Beach International Airport (KMYR). There’s one FBO with rental cars available if you book ahead, plus taxis and rideshares for quick transfers.
Once you arrive, you can golf, shop or spend the day along the beach. Myrtle Beach also makes an excellent jumping-off point for flights down the coast. Charleston, Savannah, Saint Simons Island and Jekyll Island are all within easy reach. A smaller option, Grand Strand Airport (KCRE), is available but sits a bit further from the resorts.

Carlsbad Beach Resorts With Convenient Airport Access
Just north of San Diego, Carlsbad offers a trio of HGV-affiliated stays, including MarBrisa, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club, Grand Pacific Palisades Resort and Carlsbad Seapointe Resort. All are easily accessed via McClellan-Palomar Airport (KCRQ). MarBrisa is only three miles away — close enough that walking isn’t completely out of the question.
Two FBOs serve the airport, making it simple to park, grab transportation and settle in quickly. It’s a destination I return to often for its ease and its coastal setting, and it never disappoints.
Sedona Fly-In Destination With Scenic Views
Sedona delivers one of the most dramatic arrivals you’ll find, with its red rock backdrop and its runway perched between steep drop-offs. Several HGV resorts are nearby, and the climate offers a cooler alternative when Phoenix or Las Vegas heat up.
The airport can get busy, so it’s wise to confirm tie-down availability before arrival. Spring and fall are especially rewarding here, though the destination shines year-round if you plan ahead.

Las Vegas Resorts With Easy Private Aviation Access
Las Vegas needs little introduction. From dining and shows to pool days and over-the-top attractions, the energy is unmatched. HGV offers multiple properties across the city, including favorites like Elara, a Hilton Club and The Boulevard, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club, which works well if you prefer a quieter stay.
Private pilots will want to avoid Harry Reid International (KLAS) and instead use North Las Vegas Airport (KVGT). It’s closer to the resort corridor, more accommodating for general aviation, and typically offers more reasonable fuel pricing.
Final Thoughts on the Best HGV Fly-In Locations
These are my go-to HGV fly-in destinations, but the truth is flying to your vacation spot improves the experience no matter where you go. Florida also deserves recognition for its many nearby private airports across the state. Even so, the locations above stand out for the seamless way they connect air travel with resort stays.
