  • Certain destinations may require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for access to local restaurants, tourist spots and on-site amenities, such as gyms and other common areas. Additional local restrictions regarding capacity and crowd size may also be enforced. As this is an evolving situation, we highly recommend you become familiar with all applicable health and government mandates before you travel to understand any requirements or restrictions that may affect your vacation experience.
  • As of June 10, 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requires all international air passengers ages 2 and up, including fully vaccinated travelers, to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test before boarding a plane to the United States that is collected no more than 3 days before the flight's departure, or show documentation of recovery from COVID-19 in the past 3 months. The documentation must come from a licensed health care provider or public health official, stating that the passenger has been cleared for travel. Fully vaccinated travelers should continue to follow the CDC's recommendations for traveling safely. For more information, visit the CDC website at
  • In addition to COVID-19 guidelines from the CDC, travelers must follow the restrictions of applicable states. All incoming guests, regardless of vaccination status, must comply with Hawaii’s Safe Travels program. The government of Hawaii requires all persons entering the state to quarantine for 10 days or the duration of their stay, whichever is shorter. Travelers who wish to avoid the mandatory self-quarantine must show proof of a valid, negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours from the final leg of departure to the state. As of July 18, 2021, fully vaccinated U.S. travelers flying domestically will be allowed to bypass quarantine by uploading proof of vaccination to the Safe Travels website before departure. Travelers must also arrive on the island with a hard copy of their vaccination records. For more details, including exemptions for fully vaccinated travelers, go to our COVID-19 Travel to Hawaii page.
  • Upon check-in at an HGV resort, please have your Safe Travel status ready to present. Owners and guests who are unable to do so must comply with the state of Hawaii’s self-quarantine order.
  • We ask that Owners and Guests follow local and other applicable regulations as it relates to the use of face coverings and other health requirements.
  • On-site amenities may be impacted due to COVID-19. Before traveling, please confirm with your hotel about available services and any updates on local rules or restrictions that may be in place. We greatly appreciate your patience during this time.
