A benefit of vacation ownership with Hilton Grand Vacations is that it brings my family together in unexpected ways. We’ve enjoyed family vacations, such as our trip to Hawaii.
However, we’ve found a creative approach to planning our vacations that involves the whole family. When deciding where our next adventure will be, our entire family sits at the dinner table together. First, we visit the Hilton Grand Vacations site and navigate to “Resorts and Destinations” for vacation inspiration. In years past, I thought we had a lot to choose from, between HGV’s properties, RCI Exchange® and the opportunity to book within the entire Hilton portfolio of brands.
Fast forward to the introduction of HGV Max and other benefits of timeshare that focus on the customer journey. How do these things impact membership? Simply stated – Hilton Grand Vacations has expanded its portfolio to provide my family with new options for vacation getaways and the opportunity to scratch off several places from my travel bucket list. In fact, everyone in my family has a bucket list.
With so many new places to see, we use this as an opportunity to have our kids research destinations and share why they want to travel there. They then give a sales pitch to “sell” their idea, including what they want to see, which provides them with skills they will carry into their careers. They also research states and countries they may be unfamiliar with and learn about the history of places.

As Hilton Grand Vacations continues to grow its portfolio, we’ll compare the new offerings to our bucket lists and check them off one by one. We can’t wait to see where we’ll go on our next bucket-list vacation.
